Class Descriptions:

Monday 9:30am and 6:30pm

Maha Yoga is a blend of classical Sivananda and Kripalu Yoga. A 
balanced, integrated class with steady flow, rest between postures, 
and guided direction. Each class includes postures, breathing, 
meditation, deep relaxation and chanting.

YOGA WITH PETRA - Wednesday, Thursday

ALL LEVELS - Beginners are taught proper body alignment to develop a strong foundation. Intermediate & advanced students will be offered a variety of poses
to deepen their practice. Injured & ill students will be given alternate poses to learn what works best for their practice. Each student is asked to work safely
at their own level to develop balance and harmony in their yoga practice.

-Mat Pilates with Sara is a straight up Stott Pilates Mat class. She is a fabulous teacher and watches over you like a hawk to make sure you are doing everything just so.

Anusara Yoga class, Tuesday 5.15 - 6.45 pm
 
Using Anusara yoga’s unique "Universal Principles of Alignment", we align the body, breath and heart to touch our highest potential. An inspirational heart-theme is interwoven with the breath and alignment instruction making the heart-theme come alive in the body. In this practice you develop strength and flexibility. With the enhanced flow of energy (prana) each posture is a gateway to open the heart and increase well-being. This class is suitable for beginner to intermediate students.

About the class
This series is for you who have never done yoga before or are interested in exploring basic alignment. 
 
In this series we systematically go over the Universal Principles of Alignment. As we step into the body we enter the vast potential of the heart. 
 
Each class will build on the previous as we open and strengthen the body and deepen our relationship to our hearts.

Week 1: The dance of yes and no - Foundation + lower body

Week 2: The art of yoking, Yoga - Inner body bright + upper body

Week 3: Moving from perfection - hips and pelvis

Week 4: Recognize the presence of Shri - shoulders + back body

Marie’s encourages students to embrace their bodies and the vast potential of their hearts. Marie has been a dedicated student and practitioner of Anusara yoga as well as Rajanaka yoga philosophy since 2001. When teaching she weaves together the therapeutic aspects of Anusara yoga, the teachings of Rajanaka philosophy as well as her own life experience. The Other Yoga is a Svaroopa Yoga class. The form of Hatha Yoga uses deep relaxation, breathwork, and precise alignment in well-supported poses to release core tensions in the spine and body.

 

Tuesday 7pm-

Stretch and Move with Roberta is a dance class for the soul. World Music, Thumping drums, Big fun!!!!

Mondays and Thursdays Spring Training-

Great class to get you ready for spring and summer. High intensity, low impact class with light weights and bands and balls. Come for the fun! $8/$5

 

Allison's Classes

Honey Flow Vinyasa Yoga Wednesdays 9- 10:30am

This sweet and slow moving vinyasa class links postures (asana) together by breath (pranayama) with an emphasis on creativity and alignment. Classes are inventive and thoughtful allowing one to open and strengthen the inner and outer body while toning and calming the mind. Detailed alignment instruction is given within the sequences

Classes focus on continual movement, breath work, meditation, music and mantra.

For students who desire a regular yoga practice, but all levels are welcome!

Optional:

A 15-minute meditation will follow each class . Free to those who love to sit!

 

Solar Flow Vinyasa Yoga Every Friday 6- 7:30pm

This inspirationally upbeat flow class synchronizes the Ujjayi breath and movement, using Sun Salutations to link poses. Emphasis is on the breath and alignment as well as developing strength, flexibility and endurance. Prepare to sweat the stress away. This more challenging class is recommended to those who are familiar with the vinyasa style and have a regular yoga practice. But all are welcome to come and challenge your practice to the next level.

Class will be candle lit while we groove to some great music.
